ABOUT MYRNA SHOA

Myrna Shoa studied painting at the Royal College of Art, London and has lived from her creativity since that time, as a designer, artist

I think and feel in images, so when I experience something I see the emotion as a shape and the words for the image link the whole creative process together.
She collaborated with author Hazel Riley in retelling Greek Myths in a modern urban setting for esol students. The stories and illustrations were published by Avanti Press
There will be three more from the series

For twelve years she sold her art as greetings cards and prints in London's famous Portobello Road.
Now she sells her prints on the web. One of her current project is trying to raise money through selling her prints for charity.
Her images are unlike anything you
have seen before.

Myrna's creativity is now concentrating on developing film-making and animation. She is co-directer of 'Westlondonfilms'. Two of the films were

ABOUT THE IMAGES

'My images are based on love and relationships with yourself, another person, or with the world.' Her images are unlike anything you have seen before. I
have tried to give a positive message in my prints.

They are like visual poems; strong in colour and design, are works of art in a print. They appeal to people from different cultures and age groups. They can remind you of the painter Marc Chagall's work.

The little flower image represents us. We are tiny in the world.
We are vulnerable and yet we can become a garden. 'I use the little flower as my symbol'.

In the images with the forest
The trees seem to overpower the flower, but the light shines through and the little flower can grow. There is always a way through.

Follow your heart, follow your dream. You may follow your heart to find love of a person.
Or, you may follow the direction your spirit or inner voice tells you.

Your life is the path you are on. What you are doing now is your life. Your life is not what you may do, or are thinking about doing, but what you are actually doing. So, if you are making excuses why you can't do something, that is your life.
