Myrna Shoa's 4 short illustrated stories have been published by Gatehouse Books - The Marriage, Rosie & The Iron Bar, The Box of Chocolates, The Sofa. They are family stories, yet universal in their themes.

Recording, writing or illustrating family Stories can liberate. Through writing, or recording them you get a context to your family members’ behaviour make sense of why.

Putting the stories told to you in context –  you discover a piece of history a time when for example women were seen in a certain way. Through writing or recording the stories we can gain some resolution, which can allow you to let go. You have given the emotions and confusions, a shape.

Then all the other members of the family can add their take on the events which will give a larger perspective of all your lives.
